Description

It works by increasing the amount of a natural substance (serotonin) in your brain that helps maintain mental balance.
How To Take
Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once daily in the morning or evening. The dosage is based on your medical condition, response to treatment, age, and other medications you may be taking. Be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist about all the products you use (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products). If you are using the liquid form of this medication, carefully measure the dose using a special measuring device/spoon. Do not use a household spoon because you may not get the correct dose.
Precaution
Escitalopram may cause some common side effects like nausea, fatigue, confusion, dizziness and change in sex drive or ability. Inform your doctor if you notice any changes in your behaviour. Escitalopram may cause sleepiness, hence it is advised that you avoid driving vehicles or operating machines.
